Welcome to a special course where folk songs and crafts come together! April 24th and 25th 2027 in Järvenpää

I am happy to be teaching this course together with folk singer and Master of Music Amanda Kauranne. Amanda brings the songs, and I will guide you in the art of spinning yarn.

During the weekend, we will sing folk songs connected to traditional crafts and learn to spin yarn – or develop our existing skills in either singing or spinning. No previous experience is needed. You are welcome to join us as a beginner or as a more experienced singer or spinner.

We will work in small groups and take our time, be relaxed. It will be interesting to explore how rhythm, breathing, singing and working with our hands connect with each other. We encourage everyone to try both singing and spinning, but you can also choose to focus on just one of them.
