Baskets have been made maybe hundreds of thousands years, when ancient people needed place to storage food and carry things with them. I use baskets almost every, I keep my knitting projects in baskets and pick mushrooms!
Year 2024 my employer organisation Taito has chosen basket weaving as the craft technique of the year. I have been very happy and interested of that, because I love baskets and weaving. I have made basket of many different materials, rotten, paper, willow and wood. I have also made vase where i combined ceramics and weaving.
