Art in process

This autumn has been very lovely and also quite busy! couple weeks i was finishing my small pieces of art for a group exhibition in Tampere TAD week.
Modus had a group exhibition “Ingenium” at Finlaysom and my work was accepted. I have been very inspired of combining wool and ceramics, soft and hard materials.
Here is some pictures of making and ready ones.

Elements of life 2026

Where do we come from? Where do life, consciousness and intelligence begin?

In ancient times, philosophers explained the universe through four basic elements: water, fire, earth and air. They wanted to understand what everything is made of.

When I work with different craft materials, I often think about where they come from and what they need in order to exist.

Later, a fifth element was added: aether. It was thought to be an invisible and weightless substance that connects everything in the universe. Could Aristotle have imagined wireless signals, the World Wide Web and other connections that science and human intelligence have brought into our world?

In this artwork, however, the fifth element is the thoughts of the person experiencing it.

With this work, I want to remind us that, despite human intelligence and artificial intelligence, we are still physical animals with hands, always curious about the world around us.

All parts of the artwork are handmade using different techniques. The materials are wool, clay and glass.
